The mtabweb home page is the screen every user sees when they first log in to mTABWeb.
Named My mTAB Desktop, this page is their access point to all aspects of the mTABWeb system.
To explain the latest enhancements to the look of this page, lets breakdown the new My mTAB Desktop features:
Header Menu
This is the small menu to the top right and only has 3 items on it, which are fairly self explanatory.
Home – returns the user to this screen. This is useful if they have ventured in to the admin, support or help screens and wish to return
to the main mTABWeb screen.
About – provides a pop up window with the details of the current build of mTABWeb. This is the same as the pop up that appears now when
you click Help, About from the mTABWeb client itself.
Logout – simply logs you out and returns you to the main login screen.
Client Logo
This is the small logo to the top right and allows the client to give the page their own identity.
Group Logo
This is the small logo to the top left and allows the client to provide specific logos for each user group.
Client Name
This is the title text between the two logos. It displays the name of the client or group.
Main Menus
This is beneath the Client Name and is a dual layered system, with main menu headings across the top and sub-menu items dropping down
below them. The general layout includes Support, Manage Resources, Tools, Admin. Which sub-menu items are available when an item is
selected will depend on the user’s access level.
Next, within the large box that we have in the center of our new page layout, we have the following:
The New Studies panel
This contains a list of all studies added to the user’s account/updated since they last logged in (formerly “Studies added/updated
since your last visit”).
The New Tabs panel
This contains a list of all tabs added to the user’s account/updated since they last logged in (formerly “New tabs added/updated since
last visit”).
The All Tabs panel
This lists all tabs that the user has access to in their folder structure (Formerly “Select Report”).
The Favorite Tabs panel
This displays the user’s top 10 favorite tabs. Favorite is defined as the 10 tabs that this user has run most frequently during the
last 60 days.
All panels are scrolling list boxes with space to display 10 rows. Double-Clicking on an item in any of these lists will open that item
directly in to mTAB.
Finally, the Run mTAB item on the menu has been removed and instead there is an icon for the user to click on. The icon looks like
the outline of the main mTAB screen and has the words Open mTAB on it. Clicking on the icon or on the blue, click here arrow immediately
to its right will open the mTAB client.
